Piechowice (German - Petersdorf) is an old town with a historic crystal factory that can be visited. A small climatic town is a great place to start exploring the area.

- 6 km to Szklarska Poreba (10 minutes by car), 20 minutes by train, 120 minutes on foot - walk along a wonderful forest trail, visiting the Szklarki Waterfall on the way
- 15 km to the Jakuszyce cross-country skiing center
- 21 km to Harrachov SKI
- 19 km to Karpacz
- the closest attractions: Julia Glassworks, Chojnik Castle, Beaver Rocks, Silent Valley, Szklarka Waterfall
